What I Read in April

What I Read in April

I’ve being trying to read more books as I’ve always loved reading but I’m struggling to find good books. This month I tried to read at least 5 books. I read 3 and a bit. It’s not too far off so don’t judge me. Anyway,

The first book I read was The Lurkers. It was my school book so I had to finish it anyway. It was okay. SPOILER ALERT. So this girls little brother called John breaks his leg in football. And he is at home for months and months. She starts to question it then learns there is a spirit dude (Galder) who, guess what, is a lurker and he can control people. This is from a month ago so I can’t remember all of it but!

The next book I read was an old favourite; Opal Plumstead. I read this over and over again when I was little. I saw it the other day when I was cleaning. I just had to pick it up and read it again. Her father is sent to prison and so Opal is made to work at a sweet factory. She befriends the head of it, Ms Roberts. Through Ms Roberts she meets his son. Opal falls in love with Morgan. This books is set in the First World war and Opal wants to be a Suffragette. Don’t wanna give too many spoilers!

Next book I read this month was The Fault in Our Stars. I love John Green so much. I read the book a while back but decided to read it again. Best 50p I’ve ever spent. I bought it from a bootsale along with Looking for Alaska. I’m currently half way through Looking for Alaska and It’s great as is all of John Greens stuff. I’m pretty sure you have heard of TFIOS because it blew up. Not literally. You know what I mean. That’s it for this month. Let me know if you’d like this to be a series? Comment your favourite book below!

Thanks for reading,

Marissa xo
