Cranberry and Gold Eye-shadow Look

Cranberry and Gold Eye-shadow Look

After wanting this for quite a while, I was gifted this beautiful palette (Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette) for my birthday!I will be using this palette only for this look. My older brother got it for me and the dipbrow (as shown in the photo). I could not be more grateful! I’m in love with them and have been using them pretty much everyday.

The eye-shadow look I will be creating is inspired by the two shades ‘Love Letter’ and ‘Venetian Red’. I wanted to make this look a red/cranberry style with a pop of gold. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out so keep reading if you want to see how to recreate it! I’m in no way a professional, I just really enjoy doing makeup and wanted to share this look with you guys.

Here is this gorgeous palette up close. Along with some swatches of the three shades I used the most: Primavera, Venetian Red and Love Letter.

I started by applying my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and blended it into my lid. Using the shade Tempera, I set the concealer then started to build my colours up. I went in with Warm Taupe and Burnt Sienna to deepen the crease. I then packed the colour ‘Love Letter’ onto my lid using a smaller and thinner brush.

After packing my lid, I used the colour Red Ochre and Venetian Red then worked it into the edge of my crease. I knew I wanted to create a cut crease but didn’t want harsh lines. I used my concealer again and went in with a flat brush to carve out the bottom portion of my lid but softly blended it out. As you can see in the swatches, that glittery gold shade is absolutely gorgeous so I just HAD to use it! I packed it on top of the concealer – like before with the shade ‘Love Letter’

To finish up and complete the look, I used my trusty Soap and Glory liquid liner. I used tape to get a straight fine line then glued on some lashes!

And here it is! I’m pretty happy with this look and although it may not be the most summery look, I will certainly be using this palette and it’s colours again.
